It's a girl

This week we found out we will be lucky enough to be having a baby girl.  We will now have to start using the correct pronoun of she.

Here are some photos of the belly (looks the same just bigger).  We will try to scan the ultrasound pic to post that once we get everything hooked up. Everything is currently under construction from our big move into a larger apartment.

The McNugget!

Here is the first ultrasound of baby McNugget. Apparently, I am 8.5 wks in the scan. Today I am officially 9wks (or so the machine tells me!)

The small circle is the 'yolk sac', which in about 1-2 wks becomes the umbilical cord. The peanut shape is the baby, with the top being the head and the rest the 'thorax' (as our crazy doctor said) of the body in a tucked position.

:) All is healthy and happy.

First peak at the McNugget

Tomorrow is our first ultrasound... we won't see much just yet, but we will get to hear the heart beat and possibly a computer generated image of the baby. Updates soon!

Engagement!!! Special thanks to Colleen, Alex and Chicago... and Monet!

Here are the infamous engagement photos :) Ryan completely surprised me....and I"m very happy to be a McKeown.
Here is the link of the big moment:

We first took a trip through Millennium Park with Colleen and Alex. Big kudos to the Szathmarys for their AMAZING photo skills.

Here is us by the 'Bean'

At the Chicago Art Institute (inside the museum)
Colleen!

At this point I'm thinking Ryan just really likes art and wanted a photo!
Apparently he had other ideas... Right now he is saying wonderful things like "Alisha, from the moment of our first kiss I knew one day I would propose to you. I love you. Will you marry me?" And I'm saying, "Are you serious?"
Then he pops open the sparkle!
I say "yes"
Still dazzled by all the sparkle
Here is the sparkle! It is absolutely amazing.
The painter and painting that brought it all together. The entire room clapped for us when I said yes.
Kiss to put a seal on it.
Engaged couple post happy moment
We are camera hogs
A tRyan attempts the dubious task of lifting his future bride
Awwww!
Then he drops me or "gently puts me down"
Toast... we are both confused as to where we should be looking
So we decide to look at each others' ugly mugs
