Fall weekend fun

Hello!

Here is a mini update in present time :)

Yesterday, Jocelyn was 4.5 years old. Facebook actually told me by showing me a picture of her this day 4 years ago. Wow how time flies!!

Wee 6 months

And now,

Her side-by-side cracks me up 😋

Here are some other choice J moments.

She loves to be cuddled to sleep now. She seems so grown up but at the same time I can still feel her as a baby. She makes us practice being patient, calm and fun. It's been a wonderful journey being her parents.

We have been relaxing this weekend, cooking up a storm and enjoying the brisk fall weather. We watched the PSU vs OSU game with our good friends Kathryne and Alex yesterday. It's so fun to have them living so close.

Adelina is little miss explorer, climbing, tasting, chewing and touching everything. She does the cutest thing where she comes over, sits on you, lays back, tilts her head back, smiles ear-to-ear and giggles/makes a baby sound. So cute!

Here are some Lina moments over the weekend.

And, they love playing together.

Lastly, here is an Ariel update!! Here she is this time last year and now :)

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Going to Grammy and Gramps' house in July!

I think the phrase "Christmas in July" practically applies to my rate of blogging! Apologies family and friends for being so absent. Today, Jocelyn is off to school, Adelina is napping, and I for the first time in months have no consulting work. So hooray I can blog!

So, back in July we got to have two fun weekends with the McKeown-Szathmary families. We saw old friends, new babies, and basically had a blast. Pennsylvania will always be home to us! In fact, Jocelyn likes to tell us how much she wants to live there and how "long" the drive is (she used to love it... must be the 4's...they get so opinionated!). The road trips are fun, and we love seeing everyone of course.

Here is Mr. Finn Connolly, Adelina's future boyfriend :) He is just under a month here I think and Adelina is just 6 months here.

We made it to Grammy and Gramps! Jocelyn bolted to the jewelry box and picked out this favorite.

Here we are in Molly's room enjoying the day bed. Ariel especially loved it.

As you can see, wee 6 month old Adelina loved to sit and play with toys. It's October now as I'm writing this, and I can't keep her still or in the same room!

Get ready for some picture overload with cute cousins and summer fun!

J and Emmy Mae

All the little ladies!

Here J is doing tummy time with them. She kinda looks like a mermaid here :)

Emmy and Lina <3

J with her Godfather Alex

As you can tell, they were all very excited for the pool in the godparents pictures!

We went a fun little walk around the neighborhood. Colleen is a baby whisperer :) 2 secs in that carrier and Emmy passes out! She is an awesome mom.

I love this moment. Just a random candid shot at the
family dinner table with Grammy, son, and grand baby :)

And, I realized we did a lot of selfies on this trip! You will see a lot of my face sorry about that. I'm usually much better at getting pictures of everyone, but I got so so excited to capture moments with the littles. Colleen has a really great array of pictures of the whole family, so I definitely encourage you to look at her July posts. Ryan and I love our niece and nephew so much, so we kind of took a picture about every hour with them over this trip :)

But don't worry, we got some fun candid shots with our favorite Uncle Sean (and Aunt Megan too though not pictured. We love you two.), and the whole original McKeown sibling gang. When all four are together, I love to sit back and listen. They crack me up, and it's really cute seeing them banter back and forth.

Later on during the trip I got Emmy to fall asleep in my arms and take a pacie. It was the sweetest moment. She is so tiny here, so soft, smelled like heaven and I didn't want to give her up!! Plus, I kind of strutted around the room, proud that my mommy powers worked on other babies! Hehe :)

Morning baking/cooking sessions. Classic.

Oh, and Happy Fourth! Very blessed to live in a great country with a great community of friends and family. It took a few tries to get the kids to look in the same direction.

Here we are with our favorite Benny! Benny is amazing. So kind, gentle and inquisitive. He loves cars, trucks, trains and can tell you all about diggers. I have to up my knowledge of things on wheels.
We had fun making faces together on the Iphone. I'm sure in 10-20 years the Iphone will be so passe.
I wonder what will replace it?

And, Jocelyn and Adelina seem to take these wonderful pictures with one very happy, and the other not so much :) True sibling love here. We all got a wonderful family shot in the backyard later, but it was on another camera. Sorry! Here is a preview of us girls.

The boys found some time to play a bit of lacrosse. Such a cool sport. I know it's very popular out in the east coast, but not so much out where I grew up. More fun things the girls can try out in the future. Ryan I think it very excited to coach sports with the girls.

We had a blast at the pool with Mom Mom, Pop Pop, and all our aunts, uncles, and cousins. I learned how to go to the pool properly this trip! One must prep a good hoagie for the day and be prepared for lots of fun for a day at the pool. Plus, no one got burnt so it was a win win.

And, we finished the trip by seeing our old friends Aga and Cai. Aga is a dear friend who helped raised J while Ryan and I were in grad school. Thanks so much Cai and Aga for driving out and seeing us in PA. We love you guys.

Well, here ends our July trip to PA! Thanks for reading till the end. :)
