The McNugget!

Here is the first ultrasound of baby McNugget. Apparently, I am 8.5 wks in the scan. Today I am officially 9wks (or so the machine tells me!)

The small circle is the 'yolk sac', which in about 1-2 wks becomes the umbilical cord. The peanut shape is the baby, with the top being the head and the rest the 'thorax' (as our crazy doctor said) of the body in a tucked position.

:) All is healthy and happy.

Tomorrow is our first ultrasound... we won't see much just yet, but we will get to hear the heart beat and possibly a computer generated image of the baby. Updates soon!

At this point I'm thinking Ryan just really likes art and wanted a photo!

Apparently he had other ideas... Right now he is saying wonderful things like "Alisha, from the moment of our first kiss I knew one day I would propose to you. I love you. Will you marry me?" And I'm saying, "Are you serious?"

Then he pops open the sparkle!

McKeown Family Photo

So as per Alisha's request here is the most recent McKeown family photo from my youngest sisters 8th grade graduation.

From left to right it is my sister Colleen, my mother Cheryl, my brother Sean, my little midget Molly, my father Bill, and then of course the best looking one in the bunch me.  Unfortunately my brother in law Alex was not able to make it so he will get a special photo below as to not feel left out.

And here is a photo from my only vacation trip of 2010 to Chicago with Sean to see Colleen and Alex over the summer.  This is us at Wrigley Field after a Cubs game in which they actually won.

Hello from Washington

Hello!

This week I (Alisha) went home to Washington for a wedding and to scout out things for the McKeown-Fernandez wedding. I found a dress!!! Thanks for all the patience Mom and Dad. So far, everything is going great. Thank you very much to everyone for all the good vibes and support. We really appreciate it. We registered at Baby's R Us. Let me tell you how fun it is to go click on hundreds of things at a giant store! It was like grown up Christmas wish list shopping.
